If I think about the journey with Amal academy during the first two weeks of fellowship, it was a wonderful experience and one of the achievements that I can learn many new skills as well as can polish myself from such a splendid platform. It’s natural to wonder: “If I am fully conscious of all of my conflicting thoughts and emotions around a decision, won’t this ‘flooding’ lead to fear and self-doubt to the point of being incapacitated?” The simple answer is “Probably” but only if one increases levels of cognitive and emotional awareness without any systematic method of elevating these thoughts and emotions to a conscious level for better understanding.

If I can relate any object, scenery, animal, or person that reminds me about first two weeks at Amal academy, then it’s another exciting task where I can show the reflection of the journey in a creative way, and here is what I choose to describe the beginning of the journey and first two weeks at Amal academy.

It was a mixture of feelings at that time excitement of beginning a new journey with Amal academy that finally I am the part of the fellowship, some emotions, and questions revolving in my mind that what next and what’s going to happen, and where I stand today?

Inventory “how you feel,” “what you think,” and “what you know.”

And asking questions to yourself and the factor “why” behind every question was thought-provoking, developing emotional fortitude which is the processes that allow us to heighten our self-awareness and use the resulting data to inform our decisions and actions, it was excited.

The importance of knowing yourself and why it is important and;

Communicate why you made a decision: Beyond communicating a decision once it is made, you should simultaneously communicate the reasoning you used to reach it. Explaining your thinking and emotions behind a decision is not an exercise in self-justification. Rather, you approach it as an opportunity to reiterate your vision and values, and secondly interacting with a new audience. When I was thinking about many self-reflection questions then I came across the aspect of KHUDI and Amal, and which comes first, having more clarity about my thoughts and dreams by verbalizing the questions more consciously and meaningfully so you connect with yourself, exploring your dream, and coming out of your comfort zone.

If I conclude the entire journey as it’s going to end this week, but with many happy memories and lifelong lessons those will stay forever with me and changed my personality a lot with moving the mindset from a concrete thinking mind to an abstract thinker and most importantly self-confidence. I am blessed and grateful that I got a chance to be part of this platform and completed all the challenges despite a hectic routine.

And it all happened due to the continuous support of my CO facilitators — Sir Usman Ahmed and Ma’am Rubia. Thank you for all the encouragement and support throughout the journey, and for teaching us the ways of going the extra mile.
