Lessons from The Last Session

AMAL ACADEMY FELLOWSHIP: Education startup funded by Stanford University that teaches professional skills to students and corporations and it’s a three-month-long program. It works on skills development like soft skills, communication skills, leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork.

My batch Name was “Amal Academy batch-171” of the fellowship, and I have one interesting habit, “I finish whatever I begin”, and same goes with Amal Fellowship, finally I did it, after the last session of fellowship if I reflected on the journey that how it started and how it put to an open-ended end and learning about many soft skills and starting my new chapter of life with title “THINKER to DOER”, And it all happened due to the continuous support and efforts of my co-facilitators — Sir Usman Ahmed and Ma’am Rubia throughout the journey, and who guided us, lighten up our path and make the journey beautiful through their mentorship.

There are many things to describe and the last session was like “Taking flight” and end up in a smooth way, with so much fun with fellows, doing different fun activities like solving the riddles, music, sharing childhood pictures and guessing the fellows, it was full of fun. Beautiful memories, and friends. And definitely, it’s a start of a new journey.

It was a nice experience to talk to people with different personalities and qualities they have and being a lifelong learner, talking to them, listening to their mind-blowing ideas, sharing moments, and taking feedback, and many fun activities was an amazing experience. Sometimes you feel emotionally not stable or feel low energy in yourself and in the next moment, you see people with a beautiful smile on their face and teach you how to smile despite challenges and think positive in every way.

And according me, it is very important to connect with people and do things just for your emotional uplift sometimes that can help you to learn something new, explore more, and you can feel happy. As everyone has some uniqueness, and when you work in a team it also teaches you many new things and you can realize your strengths and weaknesses through sharing your emotions and doing things such as working on a Team project, fun activities, and much more.

It was one of the best of memory of my life map and I considered each and every fellow of the fellowship like my family and family is connected in any way where ever they are, I am considering the same thing for My Amal Family and will be in touched by following the Amal principle “Ak or Ak gyarah”, through Social media and by working with them to serve my community and always be connected with each other and try to uplift each other and help each other in every situation and play our role like an important milestone.

I have learned a lot from every fellow, as every person inspires each other, helped each other, always gives positive feedback.

And realized the importance of a growth mindset as it’s key to every success. And in other words, I can say:

“To learn and not to do is really not to learn. To know and not to do is really not to know.”

And this applies to everything. If I learn something but don’t use the information in real life, it’s as if I didn’t learn it at all! Whatever I have learned during the entire fellowship I will implement each and every lesson in my daily life and to grow more and to be able to inspire others, through my personality, and never to forget the Amal principles of progress.

And now I can say that I am not a thinker, I am a Doer!

Happy Learning!
